学院概况

华东政法大学人文学院现设有新闻学（法制新闻方向）、汉语言文学（法商文秘方向）、文化产业管理三个本科专业，承担全校语文、逻辑、艺术等人文素质类公选课教育重任。学院下设文学与法研究所、法律古籍整理研究所、文化产业研究所等研究机构，承担多项国家级和省级科研项目；司法部、中华全国法制新闻协会成立的法制新闻培训中心也挂靠我院，该中心举办过多期全国法制报刊记者和总编研修培训班，在新闻界产生较大影响。

 人文学院拥有一支雄厚的师资力量。专业教师知识结构优良、年龄结构合理，教学经验丰富，成果突出。现有专业教师34人，其中教授7人、副教授17人，硕士生导师4人。目前共有18位教师拥有博士学位，他们大多毕业于国内外知名高校，如复旦大学、华东师范大学、南京大学、日本同志社大学等，另有1人在韩攻读博士学位。多位教师荣获“宝钢优秀教师奖”、上海市教育发展基金会申银万国奖、华东政法大学教学名师等奖项。近四年，学院先后有16人次荣获华东政法大学“我心目中的最佳教师”称号，华东政法大学首届本科优秀主讲教师评选活动中，我院共有3位教师获此殊荣。

人文学院以培养“开放性、复合式、应用型”的高素质人才为宗旨，注重学生综合素质和能力的全面发展。依托华东政法大学法学教育优势资源，人文学院以课程设置改革为出发点，结合专业自身特点，在广泛吸收和借鉴国内外先进教学方法与模式的基础上，人文学院构建了独具特色的课堂与实践教学模式，综合运用案例教学、多媒体教学、课堂报告式等教学模式，取得显著效果。

学院现设有新闻电子采编和广播电视数字两个实验室。在此基础上，引导学生创办教学实践刊物《新闻人》。《新闻人》模拟正规报社运作模式，下设编辑部、记者部、广告部和发行部，从采、写、编、评到制版、发行均由学生自主完成。此报纸在学校受到广泛关注与好评，2005年3月创刊以来，发行至今，从未间断。2004年，人文学院学生自编、自导、自演的电影《暗恋》在学生中引起了很大反响，《东方早报》、《文汇报》等对此均予以报道。在专业师资指导下，2008年10月，我院成立新视传媒（集团）。这是沪上高校第一家完全由在校学生“自主经营、自负盈亏”的多媒介平台。新视传媒（集团）在华东政法大学校党委宣传部的主管和支持下，由人文学院筹办并主持运作，整合《新闻人》、人文视点电视台、韬奋文学社、《大学春秋》、新视新闻网（人文学院网站）五家资源，涵盖了报业媒体、电视媒体、文学创作、文学杂志、网络媒体五个传媒渠道，模拟校外传媒业的集团化运营方式，进一步拓展了学生的实践平台和发展空间。

学院与检察日报社、上海法治报社、上海市文化市场行政执法总队、横店集团控股有限公司、世界图书出版公司北京公司等国内外知名企事业单位建立了实习合作关系，为学生提供了展现实际工作能力以及深入锻炼的舞台；同时，学院定期邀请国内外专家、学者来校举办讲座，为提高学生科研水平和观察、分析、解决问题的能力创造了良好条件。    

人文学院还设有“对外汉语教学中心”，除每年选派教师到国外大学任教和接收外国留学生到我院本科专业学习外，还开设对外汉语教学班，定期举办“汉语与中国文化专修班”，为更多有志于来我校学习汉语的外国留学生提供良好的环境。

Humanities School

Humanities School comprises three undergraduate courses: Journalism (Legal Journalism direction), Chinese Language and Literature and Cultural Industries. Whatsmore, the faculties give lessons of Chinese, logic, art and other humanistic knowledge to all the students of the university. Whatsmore, there are research centers as Literature and Law Institute, Ancient Law Institute, and Cultural Industry Institute, and a number of national and provincial-level research projects. Humanities School is appointed to set up the Legal Journalists’ Training Center by Ministry of Justice and All-China Legal Journalists’ Association. The training center has held several training courses for legal newspaper editors and reporters in the past years. The center held “National Legal Journalism Forum of 2008” which hit the press with a great impact.

Humanities School has a capable teaching team，which has good knowledge structure and reasonable age structure, with rich teaching experience and outstanding achievements. There are seven professors, seventeen associate professors, four supervisors of master-degree students among thirty-four teachers. Eighteen of us hold Ph.D degree of famous universities in China and abroad, as Fudan University, East China Normal University, Nanking Univeristy and Doshisha University of Japan. One teacher is working for her Ph.D. degree.

Several teachers are awarded with "Baoshan Steel Outstanding Teachers", Shenyingwanguo of Shanghai Education Development Fund and "Shanghai Outstanding Educators". "Outstanding University Teachers", etc. In the recent four years, sixteen teachers have been awarded with "the Best Teachers I Love" by the students of the university.  In the first Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher Selection of the university, three teachers in Humanity School won the prize.　

With the aim to train the "open”, “composite”, “practical” high-quality people, Humanities School have been making effort on the training of the overall quality and ability of the students. Taking the curriculum reform as the starting point, making full use of the law education resources of the university, Humanities School promote  much integration with the features of the professional courses.

On the basis of the wide range of reference and absorption of foreign advanced teaching methods, unique teaching methods have been formed. Case teaching and multimedia teaching class report, etc. have been used scientifically and have received good effect. The school has a news electronic editing laboratory and a digital broadcasting laboratory. By using these, we guide students to start the newspaper “Journalists”, which is a teaching practice publication.

The newspaper "Journalists" has a simulation of the formal mode of press operations. There are editorial department, reporters’ department, advertising department and distribution department, from interviewing, writing, editing and commenting to plate making and issue are all done by the students themselves. This newspaper received extensive attention and praise at the campus. The issue has never stopped since it started in March 2005. In 2004, the film "Secret Love" which was composed, directed and acted by the students themselves, made a great influence among the students and the newspapers "Oriental Morning Post", "Wenhui Po" reported about that. Guided by the teachers, Tao Fen's literary clubs, cultural forums, original poetry contests and other academic activities are very doing successfully.

With the guidance of the faculties, New Vision Media Group was set up in Humanities School in October, 2008. This is the 1^st multi-media group which is self-financing by the students among the universities in Shanghai. With the leadership and support of the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party Committee of East China University of Political Science and Law, Humanities School organize and preside over the operation. New Vision Media Group hold the integration of five media of the newspaper “Journalist”, Humanity Viewpoint Television, Taofen Literature Society, “University of Spring and Autumn” and New Vision News Net (Humanities School Website), covering  press media, television media, literature creation, literary magazines and online media.  It is an Analogue of the operating methods of off-campus media groups, and further expanded the practice of student development platform and space.

Humanities School has established internship and cooperative relations with enterprises both at home and abroad as followings, Jiancha Daily, Shanghai Legal Newspaper, Shanghai Cultural Market Administrative Law Enforcement Team, and Hengdian Group Holdings Ltd., the Beijing Branch of the World Book Publishing Company, etc.. These provide the students with opportunities to train themselves and give them chances to display their practical work ability. In the meantime, domestic and foreign experts and scholars are regularly invited to university, which helps to raise the students’ capability of doing scientific research, and provide students with the skills of doing observation, analysis and problem-solving.

In Humanities School, there is a "Foreign Language Teaching Center". Every year, teachers are appointed to foreign universities to teach Chinese and foreign students come to our school to study undergraduate courses. In addition, Chinese language classes provide a good environment for overseas students who may come to our university to study Chinese.
